Diplomatic Negotiations Opened Between the Inhabitants of Voltain and the rest of Tryne
With a fortnight's warning, the leaders of Tryne's countries and continents were visited by foreign strangers claiming to be from Voltain; a land shrouded in mystery, until now.
Brunwall
Met with a darkened, armor-clad stranger, surrounded in guards and Cursed of whatever kind he was, the Lion of Charlemagne had little option other than to speak with the foreigners. While he might normally have had them imprisoned, the idea of meeting with the strangers was enticing enough when added with thoughts of foreign trading and potential allies in their ongoing war with Belvedere.
Unfortunately, his thoughts would not be so. The emissary was there on more specific matters than simply making friends.
His name, he told the king, was Caoinlean. He was of the land known as Voltain, which had previously been made unreachable by Fae creatures.
Word of the Daemon attacks had spread to Voltain, causing worry to their leaders.
Belvedere
King Bertin was taken off guard by the arrival of the strangers from the shrouded lands, but welcomed their presence. Anything to help Belvedere prosper was something he was prepared to do, especially if it meant allies in his ongoing war with Brunwall.
A thrall in tow, a woman ambassador by the name of Aoibheann made her audience with the country's leader. She demonstrated to him the strength of the warriors in her company. She explained that the reason for her visit was a proposition of peace, an alliance against the ever-growing Daemon threat.
In her company, several trained soldiers, and High Magic "gifted" individuals were introduced. The skepticism rose in the king, but he considered this a way to overpower Brunwall, and said he would sleep on the offer.
Iybraesil
Possibly the most open-minded of the leaders, King Remaloth was visited by the natives of Voltain. He welcomed them to the city of Faer'val in hopes that the diplomatic relationship would expedite his endeavor to bring foreign trade and commerce back to the Elves who'd been too prideful to accept it.
His visitor was the envoy called Maolruadh, who had been sent with a warning to the Elven king.
The spread of the Daemons was increasing, he was told. Voltain had been under such attacks for centuries, however, recent years had shown more frequent attacks both in and outside of their continent. The only way to combat the Daemons, was with "gifted" individuals. Or, as those in other countries called them, the Cursed folk.
Voltain's leaders, though unnamed and not present, had wanted all of Tryne to unite, as it once had, in an effort to neutralize the Daemon threat. As it stood, the Daemons posed a threat to every settlement of every race and continent. Their only choice, lest they risk destruction, was to come together.
Envoys had been sent to each main city to speak with its leaders. Two emissaries within Tordek spoke to the Dwarven king and the leader of the largest Orc tribes, one to the Empress in Prasmin, Port Talon, and Chamassan had all been visited as well with the same offers of soldiers and protection.
The Vampyres, though diplomatic in their approach, have been met with mixed results. Their presence, until now, had been largely disbelieved and unknown. They came from a land that none in Tryne had knowledge of, and yet seemed to know a great deal about the people they spoke with.
The reasons for their sudden appearance are clear, but are they to be trusted?
A new land has opened for Tryne.
[[These characters can be interacted with if so desired as each envoy will be stationed in their indicated countries. There is a Vampyre in each location on the map, even the ones who are thus far unnamed. Feel free to PM me or Dezarc for RP with these characters]]
