Personality:
 A roguish swashbuckler, Maudley is a man of refined tastes and less-refined occupations. A mercenary and assassin for the highest bidder, and oft at times a private investigator of the sort who always carries a rapier on him at all times, Maudley possesses no morality but his own and isn't the sort to choose sides in conflicts but instead keep himself out of the way until it all blows over. Philosopher, hedonist, mild alcoholic, and fencer, there are many things of which one can describe Maudley with, but one word comes to mind above all others. Independent.
Physical Description:
A tall man dressed in dark but rather extravagant garb, Jack dresses as to be expected of a bard and fencer, in light clothing that is both stylistic and crafted to give a bit of protection and quite a bit more of mobility. He is never seen without his rapier of Prasmin steel as befitting one from the sky city, whose fencers are well and widely known, and he tends to keep his hair long but well groomed.
History:
Little is known truly about the Maudley man, although there are rumors abound that say he is the bastard son of a noble and his incident with a prostitute. What is known however is that he is quite the dashing rogue, a thief and a bard all in one who recently orchestrated the theft of the prized jewel of Saracen, a glorious and beautiful diamond covered in reflective sides that is rumored to hold mystical qualities. However, in the midst of this theft, a blast of pure arcane energy exploded in the museum of which it was kept, giving Jack time to escape from his home city....and also activate the powers within him.

Abilities:

Panache (Passive) : Through the effects of the Saracen Sapphire, Jack possesses an extravagant ability in the form of being able to move quicker than one thinks one would in combat or out of combat, allowing him to make impressive flourishes and counters. That is, if he is aware of an attack to be countered. Although his speed is enhanced, it is certainly not to the point of superhuman speed yet, but rather at the peak of human capabilities. He cannot dodge a bullet or arrow without anything but luck on his side, nor can he evade an attack he is unaware of.

Blow By Blow (Active) : By harnessing the limitless energy of the Saracen Sapphire, Jack can create a boost of magical speed inside him for a limited time in order to launch a five-point attack against an enemy, delivering puncturing blows or slicing slashes across one's body where possible and typically leaving most untrained and unhardened foes bleeding out in the dirt once it is done, although afterwards he does begin to feel fatigued.
