Name: Ardrik Sigmar
Birthplace: Brunwall
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 18
Affiliation: None
Personality: Ardrik is a typical example of a younger Brunwall noble, believing in the loftiest ideals of justice, virtue, and order that his great kingdom was built upon. He acts with honour in pursuit of justice and the greater good, holding himself to the highest standards of conduct.
Physical Description: Ardrik is tall and muscular. His eyes are light blue and his hair is dark. He tends to wear either armour or simple clothes that are worn from travel, and he is very rarely seen without his sword on his person.
History: Sigmar is one of the oldest names on Charlemagne. The house has a long history of good fortune going almost as far back founding of the Empire; it is one of the few noble families near to the King's in terms of status and wealth. The current head of the house is Lord Gregor Sigmar, an aging man who has done much to uphold the distinguished name of his house.
Ardrik is the only child of Lord Gregor and his first wife, who died shortly after Ardrik was born. As the only son of a lord with such a distinguished name as Sigmar, Ardrik was taught almost from birth how to properly be the head of a noble house. He was dedicated to his studies, intending to be remembered in history as one of the greatest leaders of House Sigmar.
A short time after Ardrik's seventeenth nameday, a traveling wizard was granted lodging by Lord Gregor. After seeing Ardrik, the old mage told his host that he could see the child had been born with the Curse, and though it was dormant now, it would soon draw Daemons to him wherever he went. Lord Gregor went to Ardrik and told him this grave news, giving his son two choices: either he would leave quietly in the night, or there would be an 'accident' the next time they went hunting, for he would not allow Ardrik to bring ruin to the house by summoning Daemons to him.
Choosing the first option, Ardrik packed his bags that night and slipped out of his home, without any idea of where he should go. He wandered for a few days, eventually deciding to sign on with a mercenary company for a year. That year was mostly spent marching around the edges of Brunwall territory and the Divide, with the occasional clash against orcs or Belvedere soldiers. After his year was up, Ardrik felt that the mercenary life wasn't for him and decided to wander independently for a while, until he found something else to do with his time.

Abilities
Smite (I): Ardrik channels magic through whatever weapon he happens to be holding, causing it to radiate a golden light. His next successful strike with that weapon releases the light in a flash, searing the victim in addition to whatever damage the weapon would normally deal.
Purify (I): Ardrik causes a warm light to wash over himself or an ally that he touches, healing minor wounds. This ability can instead burn an enemy if Ardrik chooses.
