Name: Goraidh Flaithbheartac
Birthplace: Voltain
Gender: Male
Race: Vampyre
Age: 25
Affiliation: House Flaithbheartach, Ancarndubh
Personality: Aloof. An existence that has accepted that his kin view him as a weapon and that his lord sees him only as a means to further his own political status. Goraidh is quiet and pensive, expecting the worst from others while possessing the efficiency as a trained weapon to always consider how to kill every person he meets. Part of his mind despises himself for viewing everyone as a target, but he is well aware that any number of people would be more than happy for his Lord to lose one more Cursed. Goraidh has embraced his Curse, though some would say that it is less because he can help change the world and more because of the power that comes with it. This is partially true, for Goraidh gets no greater satisfaction than seeing the immortal Lords' uncomfortable glances when he displays his power. To unnerve those who callously rule over the mortals is a small victory he can enjoy. The vampyre has a soft spot for children and frequently uses his limited political pull to obtain toys and stuffed animals to take to the youngest of the peasant class. Due to his upbringing as Cursed, he harbors a strong dislike of the upper class and any sort of political scheme. He views schemes and plans to be at odds with his own belief that problems should be swiftly stomped out before they can grow. To this end, he allows his superiors to believe he is dull and uninterested while he listens and awaits any chance he can to crush the unjust system. When it comes to his wife, Goraidh is incredibly apathetic. He does not share in her love for grand plans, manipulation, and abuse of the political game. At the same time, he is aware of her intentions and remains close enough to protect her should someone aim to end her meddling, yet distant enough to have no qualms killing her if she should lose sight of her supposed 'goal'.
History: Born to a humble family that owned a library in the lesser nobles' domain, Goraidh's lower born family considered it a blessing to be allowed to work in a location far above their social standing. As a child, he struggled with the concept of the caste system. His mind did not understand why some were allowed more freedoms than others simply because of their parents. Despite this, he was able to bury these feelings within the books that he read within the library. At the age of seven, Goraidh had already read most of the facility's books, most of which were historical stories and records of war. Motivated by the heroics of the characters in the books and after a bit of horseplay in the library, the young vampyre bumped into another child: the son of a lesser noble. Despite being of equal social standing, the other boy's father demanded recompense for the insult to his child, which was beyond the means of Goraidh's family to provide. Choosing to take his mother as payment instead, the noble killed Goraidh's father and would have taken his mother in the quiet walls of the library...were it not for the boy's Curse awakening. When other nobles arrived due to loud noises coming from within the building, they were horrified to see the noble and his son pinned to the wall with spear-like bolts of electricity piercing their throats. Realizing the boy was Cursed, the nobles covered up his crimes and offered the child up to their Lord, who adopted Goraidh into his personal collection of Cursed soldiers tasked with killing Daemons and defending the...interests of their Lord. Years passed and the young vampyre grew into an adult after being immersed into the world of political games, conspiracy, and all the dark parts of the world. Growing distant from the world he had started to resent, he was summoned by his Lord one day to be offered the chance to marry...
